CCM welcomes Andris Poga

CCM Classic Concerts Management is delighted to announce that it will be representing the Latvian conductor ANDRIS POGA in German-speaking countries.

Artistic Advisor, Latvian National Symphony Orchestra

Andris Poga was born in Riga in 1980 and studied conducting at the University of Latvia and at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna.

He gained international recognition in 2010 when he won first prize at the Evgeny Svetlanov International Conducting Competition in Paris. He became Paavo Järvi’s assistant at the Orchestre de Paris and associate conductor of the Boston Symphony Orchestra.

From 2013 to 2021, he was Chief Conductor of the Latvian National Symphony Orchestra, with which he remains associated as an artistic advisor to this day.

In 2021, Andris Poga took up the post of Chief Conductor of the Stavanger Symphony Orchestra in Norway.

Upcoming engagements will be with the Rotterdam Philharmonic, the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia, and, on a regular basis, with the NDR Elbphilharmonie Orchestra, the WDR Cologne and the NHK Symphony Orchestra Tokyo.
